This is Israel Ayo from SketchUp Classroom. Today, I'm going share some tips to improve your renders.

1. Use Reference.

The first thing you should do before starting out any project, is to go make some research base on the project we are going to work on.

Some good resources you can use is

www.pinterest.com www.houzz.com

2. Use PBR textures.

In the past, I've always used any material I can find on google but I realise there is a very big difference when using high quality materials.

PBR textures comes with different maps to make your material more realistic.

3. Use High Quality Components.

What often differentiate a good model from a bad one is the level of details in the components used.

A good thing to do is go to 3D warehouse, search high quality models. This can slowdown your model, so a good thing to do is turn this into proxy files in the model.

4. Take Scenes Like a Photographer.

you study photographers, you'll notice that most of the time, they take photos with a tripod stand to achieve that vertical line. Same as ArchViz artist, try to set your scenes to 2-point perspectives and also use a realistic Field Of View.

You can take your time to study photographers on Instagram.

5. Post Production.

Post Production is every artist last stage in creating a realistic image as you can use it to adjust the brightness, create the bloom effects and also sharpen the image.

Even the top photographers post produce their images. So while trying to learn ArchViz, learn post-production in Photoshop too.
